Gazipur (Bengali: গাজীপুর) is a city in central Bangladesh. Located in Gazipur District, it is a major industrial city 25 km (16 mi) north of Dhaka. It is a hub for the textile industry in Bangladesh, with 75% of all garment industries situated there.^{[citation needed]}

Since 2013, Gazipur has been governed by the Gazipur City Corporation, making it one of eleven cities of Bangladesh that are administered by a city corporation.
