George Kurtz (born May 5, 1965) is an American businessman. He is the CEO of the cybersecurity company CrowdStrike, which he co-founded with Dmitri Alperovitch.

In 2024, his company CrowdStrike crashed millions of Windows computers around the world, causing billions of dollars in economic losses in what has been called the largest outage in the history of information technology.[2]

Earlier, Kurtz co-wrote Hacking Exposed: Network Security Secrets & Solutions and founded Foundstone.[3] He was serving as chief technology officer of McAfee when that company released a patch that crashed many of its client's computers.[4][5] He is also an amateur racing driver.[6]
