George W. Myers (April 30, 1864 – November 23, 1931) was an American astronomer, mathematician and progressive educator. Born in Champaign Illinois, he earned his bachelor's degree in 1888 from the University of Illinois and his Ph.D in 1896 from Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich Germany under the supervision of Hugo von Seeliger.[1]
