Ghelari (Hungarian: Gyalár) is a commune in Hunedoara County, Transylvania, Romania. It is composed of four villages: Ghelari, Govăjdia (Govasdia), Plop, and Ruda.[2]
The commune is located in the central part of the county, 15 km (9.3 mi) southwest of Hunedoara.
Govăjdia village is the site of the Govăjdia Blast Furnace.[3]
