Grahana (Sanskrit: ग्रहणं, romanizedGrahaṇam, lit.'Eclipse') refers to the Sanskrit term for an eclipse.[1] Eclipses are regarded to be noteworthy phenomena in Hinduism, and legends involving their origin and purpose are featured in Hindu mythology.
