HMS Sceptre was a 64-gun third-rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy, launched on 8 June 1781 at Rotherhithe.[2] The ship was wrecked in a hurricane on 5 November 1799 in Table Bay near the Cape of Good Hope.[1]
