Hachimantai (八幡平市, Hachimantai-shi) is a city located in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. As of 1 April 2020[update], the city had an estimated population of 25,076, and a population density of 29 persons per km2 in 10,531 households.[1] The total area of the city is 862.30 square kilometres (332.94 sq mi).
