Halorhabdus tiamatea

Halorhabdus tiamatea is a halophilic archaeon isolated from the Red Sea. With its extremely high salinity optimum of 27% NaCl, Halorhabdus has one of the highest reported salinity optima of any living organism. ^{[citation needed]}
