Halych Raion (Ukrainian: Га́лицький райо́н, romanizedHalyćkyj rajon) was a raion (district) of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast (region) in Ukraine. The town of Halych served as the administrative center of the district. The raion was abolished on 18 July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast Oblast to six. The area of Halych Raion was merged into Ivano-Frankivsk Raion.[1][2] The last estimate of the raion population was 41,948 (2020 est.)[3].
