The Hanover Area School District is a midsized, public school district located in Wyoming Valley, comprises Hanover Township and the boroughs of Warrior Run, Sugar Notch, and Ashley in Pennsylvania. Hanover Area School District encompasses approximately 30 square miles (78 km2). According to 2000 federal census data, it serves a resident population of 19,048. In 2009, the district residents' Per Capita Income was reported as $16,412 while the Median Family Income was $37,692.[1]
The district operates: a Junior/Senior High School (grades 7–12), Memorial Elementary (grades 5,6), Lee Park Elementary Center (grades 2,3,4), and Hanover Green Elementary Center (Kindergarten,1, 2).
