"HiiiPower" (also stylised as "HiiiPoWeR") is the debut single by American rapper Kendrick Lamar which released on April 12, 2011. The conscious hip hop song also serves as the lead single from his independently released debut album, Section.80 (2011). The song was written by Lamar alongside label cohort Ab-Soul, and features production from rapper J. Cole and backing vocals from the late singer Alori Joh.
While the album itself garnered positive reviews (achieving a Metacritic score of 80[1] and an XL rating from XXL[2]), "HiiiPoWeR" also drew significant acclaim for its lyricism and depth. HipHopDX gave it the Verse of the Year award[3] and XXL called it "one of the finest tracks of the year".[2]
