Howtan (Persian: هوتن)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Kerend Rural District of Dashli Borun District, Gonbad-e Kavus County, Golestan province, Iran.[4] The previous capital of the rural district was the village of Korand,[5] now a city.[4]
