I Am is a 2024 short romantic comedy film directed by Tony Dia and co-written with Von Ka’anā’anā for the School of Cinematic Arts at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa.[1] The film starring Spencer Ilagan and Kaleo Pinto, is a love story that centers around a young man who leads a double life as an awkward college student by day and a glamorous drag queen by night.[2] I Am premiered at the 35th Annual Honolulu Rainbow Film Festival,[3] where it won Audience Award Best Short Film and Best Hawaiʻi Short Film.[4]
