Ida Anna Winkler (1907–1995) was a Danish painter and textile artist. In 1930, she joined the newly established Haandarbejdets Fremme (Danish Handcraft Guild), where over the next 65 years she created hundreds of mainly cross-stitch patterns. They have been widely used not only in Denmark but also in Germany, the United States, and Japan.[1][2] She also contributed to some embroidery guides, some in English, published from the 1950s to the 1970s.[3]
