Ifo is a Local Government Area in Ogun State, Nigeria. Its headquarters are in the town of Ifo at 6°49′00″N 3°12′00″E / 6.81667°N 3.20000°E / 6.81667; 3.20000.It has an area of 521 km2 (201 sq mi) and a population of 698,837 at the 2006 census "Adebami-Tella". The postal code of the area is 112.

Ope Ilu is a town in ifo local government Area of Ogun State Nigeria, Ope ilu is an Awori Kingdom and has been in existence as far back as the 17 century when the founder migrated from Ile Ife to Iga Itawo in Iwaye Otta and continued to hunt to Mapara Forest where he built small hurt, he later settled there with his family member they hunt and farm on this same land named after the founder ope ilu as far back 1814 today ope ilu town is full of social and education amenites that lead to the development of the settlement such as ope ilu community primary and secondary school, health center, market all named after the founder, the hunter ope ilu with many other private school Church, markets, hotel, Lagos State railway Line, Federal government railway garages and parks and many other social amenities that make up a town,

Chief Sodiq Ayinla Adisa Opaleye is the present Baale and Oba elect of ope ilu town, he is a businessman and politician.
