Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Tirupati commonly referred as IISER Tirupati, is an autonomous public university in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. It has been established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, in order to promote Higher Scientific Learning and Research as well as Scientific Exploration at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels of education and to create Scientists and Academics.

IISER Tirupati is recognized as an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India. It started functioning in the 2015-2016 academic year, with the new batch arriving in the month of August. IISER Pune mentored this institute till the new director was appointed.[1]
