Indira Vasanti Samarasekera OC[1] (née Arulpragasam; April 11, 1952)[2] is the former president and former vice-chancellor of the University of Alberta.[3][4] She has been a member of the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments, which advises on appointments to the Senate of Canada, since 2016.[citation needed]
