The Italian Wikipedia (Italian: Wikipedia in italiano) is the Italian-language edition of Wikipedia. This edition was created on 11 May 2001,[1] and first edited on 11 June 2001. As of 22 July 2024, it has 1,873,610 articles and more than 2,536,663 registered accounts.[2] It is the 9th-largest Wikipedia by the number of articles (after the English, Swedish, German, Dutch, French, Cebuano, Russian, and Spanish editions).[3]
