Ivanovsky District (Russian: Ива́новский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-one in Ivanovo Oblast, Russia.[4] It is located in the center of the oblast. The area of the district is 1,092 square kilometers (422 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the city of Ivanovo[1] (which is not administratively a part of the district).[7] Population: 40,509 (2021 Census);[8] 66,398 (2010 Census);[3] 64,270 (2002 Census);[9] 61,868 (1989 Soviet census).[10]
