Ivy Uche Okoronkwo // , Ivy Okoronkwo was a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) in the Nigerian Police. She was also the second in command to the then Inspector General of Police Mr. Hafiz Ringim. When she was appointed a DIG in Nigerian Police on 5 October 2010, she became the first female to be appointed a DIG.[1] When she was an Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) and posted to head Zone 7, she was also the first female officer to head a command. When she was Commissioner of Police (CP) in charge of Ekiti State, Nigeria, she was also the first female police officer to be posted to head a state Command on the Nigerian Police.[citation needed]
