Izumi Hoshi (星 泉, Hoshi Izumi, born 1967) is a Japanese scholar of Tibetan linguistics at the Tokyo University of Foreign Studies.[1] Born in Chiba, she is the daughter of the equally noted Tibetan linguist Michiyo Hoshi.
