Jacksonville Municipal Airport is a civil, public-use airport located three miles (4.8 km) north of the town of Jacksonville, Illinois. The airport is publicly owned by the City of Jacksonville. The airport's first Master Plan was introduced in 1948.[1][2]
The airport received $2.14 million from the State of Illinois as part of the REBUILD Illinois program during the COVID-19 pandemic. Money was allocated both to acquiring snow removal equipment and constructing a partial parallel taxiway to the end of runway 22.[3]
