Jahmyr Gibbs (born March 20, 2002), nicknamed "Sonic",[1] is an American professional football running back for the Detroit Lions of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and Alabama Crimson Tide, and was selected by the Detroit Lions in the first round of the 2023 NFL draft. In his first NFL season, Gibbs was named to the All-Rookie Team and voted to the Pro Bowl.
