James Bowker Holderman (January 29, 1936 – April 3, 2021) was an American academic. He served as the president of the University of South Carolina from 1977 to his resignation in 1990.[1][2][3][4] He was an alumnus of Northwestern University, where he earned his Ph.D. in 1962.
