James Garland (June 6, 1791 – August 8, 1885) was a 19th-century politician, military officer, planter, lawyer and judge from Virginia.[1] From 1835 to 1841, he was a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for three terms. He had previously served in the War of 1812.
