W. J. "Jim" Lane is an American politician and businessman who served as mayor of Scottsdale, Arizona from 2009 to January 2021, when term limits forced his departure. A member of the Republican Party, he was first elected to the Scottsdale City Council in 2004. Lane is a resident of the city's northern portion.[2]
