James Ronald McDaniels (April 2, 1948 – September 6, 2017) was an American professional basketball player. He played collegiately for Western Kentucky University and was the number one overall pick in the 1971 American Basketball Association Draft.[not verified in body] McDaniels played as an ABA All-Star in 1972.[1][better source needed]
