John Elliot (also known as Jack Elliot, John M. Elliot, John M. Elliott and Jack Elliott)[1] (7 May 1914 – 3 January 1972) was an American songwriter, credited with having written more than 600 songs for motion pictures.[2]
- ^ Elliot's last name is often spelled "Elliott" in various sources, which often causes him to be confused with both the American composer, Jack Elliott (1927–2001), and the American folk singer, Ramblin' Jack Elliott (born 1931).
