John MacDougall Parker (born September 19, 1967) is an American artist and avant-garde, experimental electronic musician from New York City who made a career as an Olympic rower, Coach, and Director of National Training Centers. His music is characterized by extreme timbres pushing the boundaries of the experimental genre. A large part of his oeuvre is sound art, but he weaves in elements of traditional music. As a visual artist and musician, his exhibitions and performances were arranged about four or five times a year, especially during the years that he was active, 1998–2008 and after 2019.
