Johnathan A. Franklin (born October 23, 1989) is an American former professional football player who was a running back for one season with the Green Bay Packers in the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the UCLA Bruins, earning first-team All-American honors while setting a school record for career yards rushing. Franklin was selected by the Packers in the fourth round of the 2013 NFL draft. After suffering a serious neck injury in his rookie season with Green Bay, he announced his retirement from the NFL in 2014.[1]
