Joseph Halstead "Peter" McGee Jr. (April 6, 1929 – April 27, 2024) was an American politician in the state of South Carolina. He served in the South Carolina House of Representatives from 1963 to 1968, representing Charleston County, South Carolina. He was a lawyer and judge.[1] McGee helped protect Charleston's Four Corners of Law.[2] His son-in-law is comedian Stephen Colbert.
