Joseph Reed (1823 – 29 April 1890) was a Cornish-born architect in Melbourne, Australia in the Victorian era.[1] He established his practice in 1853, which through various partnerships and name changes, continues today as Bates Smart, one of the oldest firms continually operating in Australia.
