Kurupassery Varkey Thomas (born 10 May 1946) is an Indian politician from Kumbalangi in Ernakulam district, Kerala, India. He represented Ernakulam Constituency from 2009 to 2019. He was the Minister of State in the Ministry of Agriculture and Minister of State in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, 2nd UPA Government;[2] a member of the Indian Parliament;[3] and was a member of All India Congress Committee from[4] 1984 to 2022. He is now the Special Representative of Government of Kerala at New Delhi with Cabinet rank.
