Karutha Rathrikal (transl. The Darkest Nights) is a 1967 Indian Malayalam-language science fiction thriller film directed by P. Subramaniam under the name Mahesh.[1] An adaptation of the 1886 novella Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde by Robert Louis Stevenson, it was the first science fiction film in the history of Malayalam cinema.[2]
