The Kashmir Premier League (Urdu: کشمیر پریمیئر لیگ; abbreviated KPL) is a professional Twenty20 cricket league organized by Pakistan Cricket Board in Azad Kashmir.[3][4] The league was founded in 2021.[5][6] It consists of seven franchises; six teams representing major cities in Kashmir, while one team is representing the Kashmiri diaspora.[7][8] Each team plays the group stage matches in a single round-robin tournament with the top four teams qualifying for the playoffs and ultimately for the final.[9] Matches played in the Kashmir Premier League do not have official T20 status.[10]
