Kathryn Chandria Manuel Bernardo (born March 26, 1996) is a Filipino actress. She began her career as a child actress, portraying young versions of lead characters in series such as It Might Be You (2003), Endless Love (2010) and Magkaribal (2010).[1] She rose to superstardom after top-billing the remake of the classic Mara Clara (2010) with Julia Montes[2] and has since established herself as one of the most popular and successful actors of the 21st century in the Philippines.[3]

Bernardo is the highest grossing Filipino movie actress of the 2010s, earning over ₱3.5 billion at the box office.[4] People Asia hailed her as the "Box Office Queen of her generation"[5] for being the only Filipino actress with two films earning more than ₱800 million each.[6][7] Forbes Asia listed her as one of Asia-Pacific's most influential celebrities on social media[8] while Metro Society included her on their list of the most influential Filipino personalities on social media.[9] EdukCircle also listed her as one of the "Most Influential Celebrities of the Decade".[10] She notably ranked second on NetCredit's list of the country's Top 10 highest earning Filipino celebrities on Instagram, earning ₱208 million a year.[11][12]

Bernardo is best known for her roles in the following hit television series Mara Clara (2010–2011), Princess and I (2012–2013),[13] Got to Believe (2013–2014), Pangako Sa 'Yo (2015–2016), La Luna Sangre (2017–2018), and 2 Good 2 Be True (2022).
