Kazakh rebellions

The Kazakh people have rebelled against state power in the forms of civil disobedience and armed resistance. The 18th- and 19th-century Kazakh rebellions are commonly referred to as national liberation uprisings. Between the mid-nineteenth century and 1916, Kazakhstan experienced 300 national liberation movements, wars and uprisings.[1]
