Kent Intake Unit

The Kent Intake Unit (KIU) is a facility located in Dover, led by the Home Office for the processing of migrants who have crossed the English Channel. The Home office has described the centre as a "short-term holding facility".[1] In November 2022 it became a centre for processing unaccompanied child asylum seekers.
