Khaidi (transl. Prisoner) is a 1983 Indian Telugu-language action drama film directed by A. Kodandarami Reddy and starring Chiranjeevi and Madhavi. Released on 28 October 1983, Khaidi was a major commercial success, marking a pivotal moment in Chiranjeevi's career and establishing him as a leading star in Telugu cinema. In 1984, it was remade in Hindi as Qaidi, and in Kannada under the same title, with Madhavi reprising her role both times.[4]
