Kharabali (Russian: Харабали́; Kazakh: Қарабайлы, Qarabaıly) is a town and the administrative center of Kharabalinsky District in Astrakhan Oblast, Russia, located on the left bank of the Akhtuba River (an arm of the Volga) 142 kilometers (88 mi) northwest of Astrakhan, the administrative center of the oblast. Population: 18,117 (2010 Census);[3] 18,296 (2002 Census);[7] 18,566 (1989 Soviet census).[8]
