Kiddu Makubuya (30 July 1949 – 19 August 2024) was a Ugandan lawyer, politician, and academic. He served as minister for general duties in the office of the prime minister. He was appointed to that position on 27 May 2011, replacing Janat Mukwaya who retired from elective politics.[1] Before that, from 2005 until 2011, he served as Uganda's Attorney general.[2] He resigned from cabinet on 16 February 2012 amid allegations of misappropriation of government funds.[3][4] He was also member of parliament, representing Katikamu County South, Luweero District.[5]
