The Kingdom of Bugesera (Kinyarwanda: Ubugesera)[2] was an independent Bantu kingdom that existed from the 16th to 18th century in Central Africa. Around 1799, it was conquered and divided by the Kingdom of Rwanda and Kingdom of Burundi.
