Kinondoni (Kata ya Kinondoni in Swahili) is an administrative ward in the Kinondoni District of the Dar es Salaam Region in Tanzania. The ward is bordered to the east by Mikocheni and Mwananyamala wards, to the west by Hananasif ward, and to the north by Msasani ward. The ward is home to the headquarters for the National Muslim Council of Tanzania (BAKWATA) with its grand Mosque. The ward is also the headquarters of Tanzania's second largest political party Chadema. According to the 2012 census, the ward has a total population of 21,239.[1][2]
