Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw (born 23 March 1953) is an Indian billionaire entrepreneur.[3] She is the executive chairperson and founder of Biocon Limited and Biocon Biologics Limited,[4] a biotechnology company based in Bangalore, India[5] and the former chairperson of Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore.[6] In 2014, she was awarded the Othmer Gold Medal for outstanding contributions to the progress of science and chemistry.[7][8][9][10][11] She was on the Financial Times 2011 top 50 women in business list.[12] In 2019, she was listed as the 68th most powerful woman in the world by Forbes.[13] She was named EY World Entrepreneur Of The Year 2020.[14] She was married to John Shaw.

As of 2024, Mazumdar-Shaw is ranked 91st-wealthiest in India, with a net worth of $3.6 billion.[15]
