Kosikhinsky District (Russian: Коси́хинский райо́н) is an administrative[1] and municipal[4] district (raion), one of the fifty-nine in Altai Krai, Russia. It is located in the northeast of the krai. The area of the district is 1,877 square kilometers (725 sq mi).[2] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Kosikha.[1] Population: 17,927 (2010 Census);[3] 20,494 (2002 Census);[6] 21,863 (1989 Soviet census).[7] The population of the administrative center accounts for 29.2% of the district's total population.[3]
