Krasnoarmeysky District (Russian: Красноарме́йский райо́н) is an administrative and municipal district (raion), one of the twenty-seven in Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia.[1] It is located in the northeast of the oblast. The area of the district is 3,835 square kilometers (1,481 sq mi).[citation needed] Its administrative center is the rural locality (a selo) of Miasskoye.[1] Population: 41,710 (2010 Census);[2] 43,553 (2002 Census);[4] 45,881 (1989 Soviet census).[5] The population of Miasskoye accounts for 23.4% of the district's total population.[2]
