Kripanath Mallah (born 15 October 1973) is an Indian politician serving as the Member of Parliament in the 18th Lok Sabha from Karimganj constituency of Assam.[1] He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He had been elected in Assam Legislative Assembly election in 2011 and 2016 from Ratabari constituency.[2][3][4]
Previously, he was a member of Indian National Congress from Ratabari constituency in 2011.[5]
The Gauhati High Court had issued summon to Kripanath Mallah in July 2024 for alleged booth capturing and other poll irregularities cases against him during 2024 Election[6] where he won by a margin of 18360 votes against congress candidate Hafiz Rashid ahmed choudhury. Mallah got 5,45,093 votes while Hafiz secured 5,26,733 votes.[7][8]
