Kuji (久慈市, Kuji-shi) is a city in Iwate Prefecture, Japan. As of 3 March 2020[update], the city had an estimated population of 34,418 in 15,675 households,[1] and a population density of 55 persons per km2. The total area of the city is 623.50 square kilometres (240.73 sq mi).
