Kunio Yonenaga (米長 邦雄, Yonenaga Kunio, June 10, 1943[3] - December 18, 2012[3][4]) was a Japanese professional shogi player[3] and president of Japan Shogi Association[5] (May, 2005 - December 18, 2012[4][6]). He received an honorary title Lifetime Kisei due to his remarkable results in the Kisei title tournament.[3] He is a former Meijin and 10-dan.[citation needed]
