La Porta (Italian pronunciation: [la ˌpɔrta], French: [la pɔʁta]; Corsican: A Porta d'Ampugnani) is a commune in the Haute-Corse department of France on the island of Corsica.
La Porta is situated in the heart of the Castagniccia, of which this is the largest settlement. It formed the gateway (porta) to the ancient pieve of Ampugnani.[3]
